the perfect sugar cookie for decorating
A no-spread, super smooth cookie that makes royal icing a breeze.
There’s a moment every cookie decorator knows: you pull your tray from the oven and hope your carefully cut shapes haven’t spread into blobs. Years ago, that used to be me—nervously checking every batch, unsure what I’d get.
After a lot of trial and error, I finally developed this sugar cookie recipe. It’s the one I reach for every single time- its no fuss and pretty much foolproof.
This cookie is easy to work with, flat, soft, and perfectly holds its shape. It’s made with pantry staples and rolls out like a dream. It’s everything I wanted in a base for royal icing—and I’m so excited to share it with you.
